SummaCare Adds University Hospitals to Commercial Provider Network - SummaCare, Inc. has completed an agreement to add University Hospitals to its network of providers for its line of Commercial products. Effective Jan. 1, the agreement will provide SummaCare Commercial members with services at 13 University Hospitals’ facilities throughout Northeast Ohio and access to more than 1,000 physicians.
Summa Acquires Barberton Citizens Hospital - Summa Health System has completed its acquisition of Barberton Citizens Hospital from a subsidiary of Tennessee-based Community Health Systems. The acquisition, part of Summa’s strategic plan to expand services and create greater value through regional collaboration and expansion, increases the number of hospitals in its System to six.
